All I'm saying is that every. single. photographer. on the New Hampshire Primary press bus is shooting Canon. New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, US News, Newsweek -- the whole gang.
I'm sure it doesn't mean anything. I just felt like sharing.

Ok, now you've got yourself a regular. Anyways, I'm a canon user, love both Mark3 and 5D. BUT. Nikon D3 is the best camera on the market right now. The reason why everyone uses canon is because it has been a market leader for the last 5-10 years and a switch is incredibly expensive. I hope an upgrade of the 5D will at least have the same ISO-value options. The Mark3 1Ds is a bad move if you ask most press photographers. Nobody needs 20mpx but studio photographers, and they have sacrificed noise and speed because of it.
also, canon is really good about cutting deals for newsrooms. most of the big guys (nyt, wp, etc.) have been buying in bulk from canon for years and years, and they have good relationships that lead to major savings. i know nothing about quality, but i do know that!
